ITV.COM HOSTS WORLD ONLINE TRAILER PREMIERE OF DANIEL CRAIG’S NEW FILM FLASHBACKS OF A FOOL
ITV.com are proud to announce that they have secured the exclusive world online trailer premiere of Daniel Craig’s new film 'Flashbacks of a Fool' ahead of its release in UK cinemas on April 18th.
The trailer will run exclusively on Monday March 10th, Tuesday March 11th and Wednesday March 12th at www.itv.com, the only place in the WORLD that fans of Craig and James Bond can watch the highly anticipated film from music video director Baillie Walsh.
The film, Craig’s first as an executive producer, also stars a whole host of top British talent like Olivia Williams, Helen McCrory, Keeley Hawes, Claire Forlani, Mark Strong with US rap star Eve and rising British talent Harry Eden, Felicity Jones and Alfie Allen.
Craig enthused: “I'm a huge fan of his (Baillie’s) work, he's done a number of classic music videos like Massive Attack. I've always had confidence in him, besides the fact that he’s my friend. This is my first foray into producing. It’s a gentle way in and I’ve been very closely connected to the project, which is the way I like to work. My heart has to be in my work, or it doesn’t make a great deal of sense to me.”
The story revolves around Joe Scott (Craig) a washed up Hollywood star, whose hedonistic lifestyle of sex, drugs, and celebrity has taken its toll. Handsome even in his drug-addled 40s, he leads a directionless, lonely life in his opulent Malibu mansion whilst outside the tide of public opinion has turned firmly against him. Only when confronted by tragedy is he forced to face up to the ghosts of his past.
Flashback to 1970’s England and small town life set to the beat of Roxy Music and Bowie. Joe’s rights of a passage as a young man (Harry Eden) in a tiny British seaside community lay the foundations for the Hollywood dream he goes on to experience. His budding sexuality, his boyhood camaraderie, the untoward advances of a voluptuous older woman, and his teenage actions lead to unforeseen, tragic consequences, which will ultimately force him to flee in search of a new life.

The Sacramento Bee: Modern Media Gems:
4. In cinema. When a movie's opening features the line "I'm not a gangster, I'm a businessman whose commodity happens to be cocaine," one might guess it isn't typical cinematic fare. That assumption would be absolutely correct with "Layer Cake" (2004), in which Daniel Craig plays a retiring "businessman" tasked with two final jobs. Fantastic acting, a great soundtrack and a riveting plot combine with a tinge of English culture to form a very underrated movie.
