How To Choose Pool Plaster Colors

By Luisa Sharpe

Pool plaster colors are very important because they determine the color that will be reflected by the water in your pool. Most people like shades of blue and green in their pools because it somehow mirrors ocean water. There are numerous shades that you can apply to your pool to make it unique and interesting and then blend it to the surroundings. This will make them truly beautiful.

There are other shades that you can choose such as the white one which gives a bright look for your pools. You should factor in some things when using the white shade because it will be easier for you to see the bottom. It is also easier to see if the place is dirty or not and what dirt is there making it easier for you to know what method to use when cleaning it.

Newly built spas will normally go for the white finish in their pools. This is because it looks extra clean and so they can keep the spa gleaming all the time, and this makes it attractive to the customers. They also build the surrounding grounds in marble or tiles in order to make sure that the whole area is easy to clean and convenient for walking barefoot.

There is also another shade you can apply such as the Tahoe blue. Although it is preferred by many home owners and makes the place look beautiful because of is dark blue shade, it can be risky for the people using the facility. This is because it is not easy to see the bottom, and this can be hard to see if the place is clean or if there are dangerous objects or snake inside.

Some people may not like the gray shades because they see it as a dark color. However, it is the best in areas that have got plenty sunlight. You can apply the interesting shades of this color on the sides of your swimming bath. Use the light gray, dark gray and the French gray. They will match with the glue waters so well and will make the swimming bath or even the natatoriums attractive.

Pebble plasters are also nice because they portray the beach. They can be midnight blue pebbles or they can be sand colored pebbles. They will make the best of the pool that is near the beach, for example, those that are found in hotels near the beach. For those places that are a bit far off. It will bring back the feeling of being in a beach.

The pebble pools can also be accentuated by having blue quartz in the sides of the swimming bath. This will create a beautiful blue hue in the water and make the spa look deep and cool. This is one of the most desirable effects in a swimming bath. Glass beads in the pebble are also beautifying, and they bring unique effects to the water.

Apart from adding different shades to your spa, you can make it more attractive by finishing it with the hydrazzo. Although they are more expensive than using the usual finishes, they add more beauty to the place and will attract more customers to your hotel. All you have to do is to budget for it in advance, and you will not regret having them and they are worth of any penny you used.

  1. I honestly never knew that these plasters existed. When I was younger, I thought all pools were either blue, green or dark blue. I never thought you could choose the color you wanted your pool to reflect. It makes sense now as to why people choose the normal blue plaster colors. Honestly, if it was my choice, I would love to have a purple hazel colored pool. Thank you for sharing what plaster colors are and which colors look best in which environments.

  2. Are pool plaster colors, purely cosmetic? I once saw a deep red plastered pool. That was the coolest site ever. The water looked blood red.
